ABSTRACT

Regional anesthesia is a good anesthetic alternative for most of the orthopedic cases. Many factors affect the success of regional anesthesia. Failed regional anesthesia may cause complications. Some factors like spinal deformity may lead difficult regional anesthesia. Regional anesthesia maintained in patient with spinal deformity or who had surgery of it, may have different results. These patients must be examined carefully, including the radiologic examination. We have to inform the patient about possible complications and plan alternative anesthetic management.
