Facet joint is on e of the sources of iow back pain. Several agents bav e been used for temporary and permanent pain reiief in facet syndrome. Bupivacaine-glucose monobydrate is a iong-acting agent which relieves pain when applied topically. This study İnvestİgated the effects of this agent on neurai structures, and reveaied that the bupivacaine-glucose monohydrate has a minimal effect on neurai structures characterized by minimal nudear hyperchromatosis. İt is concluded that bupivacaine-glucose monohydrate is a safe agent and can be used for long-term pain reiief.
