THE EARLY RESULTS OF KANEDA SPİNAL INSTRUMENTATION

Between February 1993 and June 1994, Kaneda anterior spinal insrumentation was applied in 11 patients in our clinic. There were 6 males and 5 females. Mean age ıvas 42.2 ranging between 20 and 60 years. Tho-racolumbar Fracture was the commonest cause. Bracing vvas done for the first 2 weeks postoperatively, and at the thirdp.o. day patients were allowed to (sit and walk) ambutate.

There was no majör complication. in the early postoperative period, Kaneda insrumentation is found to be trustable support for anterior and middle columns.
